Understanding Age Group Formation

US Youth Soccer, AYSO, and US Club Soccer have collectively decided to move to an age group player formation cycle that runs from August 1 to July 31. Coast Soccer League will be implementing these new “Seasonal Year” roster rules starting in the Spring of 2026. Please read about the upcoming changes before building your team rosters.
